Well, the first Nordic Festival is over and was pronounced a great success by all of those who visited and by our locals! We were blessed with the most beautiful sunny day and the township of Warburton looked stunning in its Autumn colours! Many who came had never been to our town by the Yarra and were astounded that such a beautiful place exists only over an hour’s drive from Melbourne. I think many of you will be visiting Warburton again in the coming months! It is hard to tell how many visitors we had, but we estimate that about 3000 people enjoyed the festivities with us.

I would like to thank all the performers who gave their time for free to be part of this event. Without your efforts it would have not been such a successful day! I would also like to thank our sponsors and volunteers on the day plus all of you who came! Thank you!

I will start working on the next year’s event in the coming months and welcome any feedback and ideas!

Visitors did miss Scandinavian food stalls so anyone out there producing traditional Nordic foods, don’t hesitate to contact me!  Maybe the success of this event will encourage you too to be part of the festival next year.
